St. Mary's United (U-17) Furies

The U-17 Furies (rising from U-16) will have open tryouts during the first two weeks of June.

Tryouts are scheduled for Thursday, June 4 and June 11 at Chancellor's Run Regional Park. To be eligible for roster selection, a player must attend at least one tryout. Attending both tryouts is strongly encouraged.

Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. There is a $5 registration fee. Players new to St. Mary's United travel soccer must bring proof of age. The fee helps to offset the cost of the numbered tryout shirt each player receives. The provided numbered tryout shirt must be worn during each tryout. Tryouts run from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Each player will be evaluated by three evaluators during the tryout process. The head coach for each specific team will facilitate the tryout but will use the evaluators scores to select the team. A roster of 18 is anticipated.

Tryouts will consist of warm ups, agility work, speed work, 1 v1 , 4 v 4 and small sided games.

No club or state association attire may be worn during tryouts. Players wearing club or state attire will be required to change.

Players must come ready to tryout. Players must provide their own shin guards, ball, soccer shoes and water.
